Bluewater is a company formed to be an integral part of the music recording industry.
Bluewater is a company formed to be an integral part of the music recording industry.
As a music genre it can best be classified as Soulful/Adult Contemporary music that encompasses Pop, Easy Listening, Rhythm and Blues and the rapidly expanding East Coast "Beach Music" that speaks primarily to the "baby boomer" market. This demographic represents the major share of the music buying public but has been largely ignored by the major U.S. recording companies. People 35 and over account for 45.2% of all recorded music purchased in the US. We intend to address the needs of our consumer by capitalizing on the resurgence of interest in contemporary artists who focus on melodic songs with positive lyrics that enhance values of love, friendship and family, as reflected by Bluewater's, "Soundtrack of Life and Love".
The first project for Bluewater Recordings, currently in regional distribution was The Embers, "Beach Music, Super Collaboration" album. Artists for the project included one of the last recordings from O.C. Smith, Beach Music's leading award winner, whose many national hits include the Grammy winning song. "Little Green Apples" and the Beach Music Classic, "Brenda."
Ten time Grammy winner, George Benson joins Cuba Gooding, best remembered as lead vocalist for The Main Ingredient ("Everybody Plays The Fool", "I Just Don't Wanna Be Lonely),
Darryl Tookes,
LaTanya Hall,
Coral,
Ronnie Limar,
and Beach Music's most renowned group, The Embers.
This album evokes the best of memories and emotions for anyone who has been touched by the magic of music and introduces newcomers to the same passion that has made these enchanting melodies one of the greatest music phenomena of all time.
These artists will be joining the rising new talent that Bluewater will develop as its own superstars. The album features songs written by multi-Grammy nominee Jimmy George ("I'll Always Love You", "Just To See Her")
and includes magnificent orchestrations by Joseph Joubert.
The album was produced by Charles Wallert
who also composed the title track and several others whose many hits include the all time classic, "Brenda". This album charted 2 songs for the year 2005 in the UK's Soulwalking magazine. "Beach Music"- # 8
and "All Ever Wanted Was You" - #16. Due to changes in Embers personnel the Company has not given a major promotional or distribution push to this CD as of yet. The strategy being, with the upgrades in personnel,
to record a new album that would actively be performed and promoted in a major way to go along with "The Super Collaboration". This has just been accomplished with a fantastic new CD just released in April, 2008, "
The Show Must Go On", produced by Charles Wallert, executive producer, Dr. Bill Ballance, with songs from Jimmy George, Charles Wallert and The Steals Brothers
("Could It Be I'm Falling In Love"). Soulchoonz of the UK enthusiastically previewed this CD (see review).
An EP of 4 cuts on Darryl Tookes has just been released as well. The title cut "My Daughter" will surely be the most popular father- daughter wedding song of all time.
In addition, Bluewater will also distribute various other individual albums, including soundtracks from motion pictures, TV shows and concerts, solo projects, selections from the O.C. Smith Catalog, and additional collaboration albums such as "Wedding Songs, The New Classics."
If you like and have missed memorable songs, contagious melodies, orchestrations pulsed by the beat of love and romance, sung by artists who voices once heard by the ear go straight to the heart, then Bluewater Recordings is your musical home!
